How long has Ray’s Firearms & Archery been operating?

Ray’s was established in 1964 and has been supplying firearms, ammunition and shooting equipment for more than 60 years.

Today, we remain proudly locally owned and continue to serve hunters, sporting shooters, archers and outdoor enthusiasts throughout the Great Southern.

Do you sell new and pre-owned firearms?

Yes. We stock both new and pre-owned firearms, including rifles, shotguns and other firearms permitted for sale under applicable Western Australian legislation.

Can you order a firearm or product that you don't have in stock?

Absolutely. We have access to a large range of firearms, optics, ammunition and accessories through Australian distributors.

If there's a particular make, model or product you're looking for, speak with our team and we'll see if we can source it for you.

What do I need to purchase a firearm?

Firearm purchases in Western Australia are subject to current licensing, eligibility and approval requirements.

The requirements can vary depending on your circumstances and the firearm being purchased. Our team can explain the general purchasing process and help you understand what information you'll need.

Final licensing and approval requirements are determined by the relevant Western Australian authorities.

I'm new to firearms. Can you help me choose my first rifle?

Of course.

You don't need to know exactly what you want before coming into the store. Tell us what you intend to use the firearm for, and we'll help you compare suitable options.

We can also help with the complete setup, including optics, mounts, ammunition, storage, cleaning equipment and other accessories.

Can you help me set up a complete rifle package?

Yes. We can help put together a complete setup based on your intended use and budget.

That can include the firearm, scope or thermal optic, rings and mounts, bipod, sling, ammunition and other accessories.

Whether you're putting together a practical hunting rifle or a more specialised long-range or precision setup, our team can help you select compatible equipment.

Do you sell thermal scopes and thermal imaging equipment?

Yes. Thermal optics are a major part of our range.

We stock thermal riflescopes, monoculars, binoculars and other thermal imaging products from leading manufacturers, along with a range of night vision and digital optics.

We can also help you compare models and choose an optic suited to your intended distances, conditions and application.

Do you sell ammunition?

Yes. We stock a broad selection of ammunition across popular hunting, sporting and target calibres.

Availability can vary, so if you're chasing a particular calibre, projectile weight or load, contact us to check current stock.

All ammunition sales are subject to applicable licensing and legal requirements.

Do you stock reloading equipment and components?

Do you buy or trade pre-owned firearms?

We may be able to assist with pre-owned firearms, trade-ins or consignment depending on the firearm and circumstances.

Can you arrange firearm transfers?

Yes. We can assist with eligible dealer-to-dealer firearm transfers.

If you're purchasing a firearm from another dealer or need to arrange a transfer, contact us before having the firearm sent so we can confirm the details, applicable fees and requirements.

Do you sell archery equipment?

Yes. Archery has been part of Ray’s for many years, and we stock bows, arrows, targets and a range of archery accessories.

Can you help me choose a riflescope?

Definitely.

Choosing a scope isn't simply about magnification. Intended use, shooting distance, rifle configuration, reticle, focal plane, weight and budget can all make a difference.

Tell us what rifle you have and what you use it for, and we'll help narrow down the options.

Do you ship products?

We can ship many of the products we sell throughout Australia.

Some products, particularly firearms, ammunition and regulated items, have specific legal, licensing, transport and dealer-transfer requirements and cannot be shipped in the same way as ordinary retail goods.

Can I contact you if I can't find what I'm looking for on the website?

Absolutely.

Our website represents only part of what we can supply. Stock changes regularly and we can source many additional products through our suppliers and distributors.
